Joday, I want to highlight several factors that bring about joining:
1. Children: A man may have only daughters with his wife, but if a concubine bears him a son outside the marriage, the dynamics shift dramatically. Suddenly, the wife may notice her husband behaving differently, and that is the power of a child. Even a child born out of wedlock can create a significant bond or joining.
2. Meals: Understand that meals can serve as a means of entering a covenant. There is something like “covenant meal.” Be cautious about who you dine with in group settings. For instance, if you are part of a club with seven members who are involved in a secret cult, and you are the only Christian present, you might unknowingly partake in a covenant meal one day.
3. Association and Fellowship: Every human connection carries spiritual implications.
It is essential to understand what spirits individuals associate with before you engage with them.
Inquire about the dominant influences in their lives. For example, men who frequent clubs are often united by the spirit of adultery, engaging in inappropriate discussions about women. By joining them, you risk being drawn into those sinful behaviours.
4. Media and Entertainment: I recall a young man who came to see me after experiencing a frightening encounter. A spirit leaped from the television screen and onto him. How did this happen? He stumbled upon a pornographic film while rummaging through his father’s drawers, unaware that his father was secretly watching without the mother being aware.
PRAYER: Father, I receive heightened sensitivity to Your Spirit. Help me to watch out for everything that can join me to negative flows in Jesus’ Name.
