God always has a destination in mind for you. When the Bible describes God as the Eagle, it shows the training nature of the Father. He is not just looking to gather a family; He is guiding and preparing us for a purpose. To reach the goal He has for your life, you must embrace Him as a Trainer.
Many people enjoy God as the Gatherer, bringing us together in church. Yet, God wants us to recognize Him as a Trainer who has a specific destination in mind. When He formed a nation from the children of Israel, He had a clear purpose and place He was leading them to. Those who embraced this process moved forward, while those who resisted found themselves going backwards as God advanced.
If you are travelling and you find yourself in a tunnel, in a stationary vehicle while other vehicles are moving fast beside you, it won’t look like you are static, it will look like you are moving backwards.
There is no place for stagnancy in the spirit realm; you are either moving forward or going backwards.
The only way to keep moving forward and making progress is to discover God’s destination for you (God’s purpose – what He has in mind) and team up with it. You may not have a precise picture of where He is going with you, but you know He is going somewhere. God provides a sense of direction, ensuring you’re always moving toward your destiny.
PRAYER: Father, I ask that You sharpen my sensitivity to the destiny and purpose You have for me in Jesus’ name.
