As a Christian, it is possible for you to have a life on the earth different from the one that God planned, but the life that is different from the one that God planned will also be different in function from the way God planned it to be. Toiling is different from working as toiling is working without the assurance of any positive result. There are people that work a lot without worrying and those that worry a lot without working.
God does not say we should not work. We are to work but then, we are not to worry.
Success should not be a surprise in your life as a child of God; it should be the expectation of your life. In fact, failure is the wonder that angels are amazed at in the life of God’s children. They wonder, “How did he or she get that? How could that happen to him or her?”
Our text today makes us understand that all you need to do to become the blessed man is to become “the just” and function as the just. It is an automatic thing. So, a child of God should simply labour to understand how he should function as the just. Once you understand how the just should function, things will just keep getting better and better for you until the perfect day. The strange thing that happens in the church is to find Christians surprised at success like unbelievers are surprised at it. It means that many times, we come to church without allowing God to change our mindset.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, deliver me from every wrong labour and place my feet on the right path of the just man in Jesus’ name.
