Many people believe that wealth is wrong because almost every wealthy person they know did something ungodly to get their wealth. Do you say hospitals are evil because people die in them daily? The fact that people die in hospitals daily does not stop you from having a doctor as your friend, does it? Why then should you allow the devil to confuse you when it concerns the subject of wealth? That some wealthy people got their wealth by doing something ungodly doesn’t make wealth wrong for you.
The devil will rather have you be a poor Christian than a wealthy Christian because he knows wealth in the hands of a Christian will advance the divine purpose of God on the earth.
Many people assume they understand money. Even if it’s your job to handle cash daily, it does not mean that you understand it. If you see any Christian who has a religiously righteous attitude of “Money is not good, it is evil,” avoid such a person. Most of the time, that person is a criminal with money.
Master the good side of all things because God said if you know the good and are simple concerning the evil, God will put Satan under your feet. If you do not know the good and you are simple concerning the evil, Satan will put you under his feet in that area.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to understand and master the good side of wealth as You intended so that I may use it for Your glory in the world around me in Jesus’ name. Amen!
