06 December 2023: BECOMING THE RIGHT PERSON FOR AND IN MARRIAGE – Psalm 139:23-24

The period of courtship is a peculiar period of your life where the foundation of your future is being laid: It is crucial! Not everyone will have a good home because not everyone is becoming the right person needed for or in marriage.

However, you are becoming something by where you are, what you do, who you copy, where you go, and the things that you put your heart to daily. All those things are crucial.

Some people were brought up from a background where they were taught right, so no sexually negative emotions were stirred up before time. There are, however, some other people who have been in the boyfriend/girlfriend kind of relationship from primary school. Something has activated their sexuality negatively early in life such that when they become mature singles, they are not stable in their relationship with the opposite sex. Some ladies have been brought up to dress to accentuate their sexual parts, so they think it’s the normal thing to do such a crazy thing.

Some people’s sexuality has been wrongly activated while they were young because they had awkward emotional lives. They grew up like that and have always had problems with the opposite sex. It is with that attitude that they respond to their spouses because that is what they have always known to work. Such people need the right teaching, submission to the Holy Spirit, and discipline to quench and replace all these negative sexual energies with the right ones for them to be the right person for their marriage to work.

PRAYER: Lord, I pray for divine preservation to remain right before and in my marriage in Jesus’ name. Amen!
