The first of the seven covenant names we will be looking at is Jehovah Jireh. It means The Lord our Provider. Like the Bible says in Genesis Chapter 22:14, “in the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.” The name Jehovah Jireh was revealed to Abraham on Mount Moriah when God instructed him to sacrifice his son Isaac. Abraham obeyed God, and as he wanted to sacrifice his son, God provided an animal miraculously.
Jehovah Jireh is the name of the Lord that covers every sphere of all the material needs, physical needs, and financial needs a human being requires to fulfil his destiny on the face of the earth. There are physical resources of the earth that you need to access to fulfil your destiny. There are people today that have visions in their hearts, but there is no money available to accomplish those visions. There are people with powerful business ideas and visions that God has given to them, but they lack the resources to execute those programmes, and they become frustrated. These people remain frustrated and defeated by the devil because they don’t know the name of the Lord; Jehovah Jireh, who is the one that provides, and supplies. He is the God of provision!
The beautiful thing about the name ‘Jehovah Jireh,’ is that He has provided before the need arises.
That is why it says, ‘in the mount of the Lord it shall be seen,’ that is, what God has already provided. Jehovah Jireh is the God who is never disturbed by situations and circumstances, and He is never unprepared. God never needs to scamper about looking for angels to rally round Him to meet your needs.
PRAYER: Father, I pray that from today I begin to experience the manifestation of Jehovah Jireh in my life in Jesus name. I am moving from lack to abundance!
