We must take note that there are attacks of hell against God’s people to quench their faith. A Christian must always remain watchful so as to be able to recognise and neutralise these attacks when they show up. Let us examine some of them:
1. Attack against the reality of the indwelling Holy Spirit
Has someone ever mocked you for praying in tongues? Do you hear strange thoughts from your mind telling you it is unintelligent and foolish to pray in tongues? You must refuse to listen to those strange voices. That is the voice of the devil trying to make you disconnect from the Holy Spirit.
Constantly stir up your consciousness that Someone is living inside you. He is the Promise of the Father to us Christians. He is our teacher, advocate, strengthener, intercessor, and standby. He will never leave us.
2. Attack against the power of your faith
The devil will try to make you feel that your faith is not working or that it won’t work. Resist that devil. Never stop working on your faith because faith always works. The evidence of your faith is in what you say and do. It doesn’t matter how you feel; keep declaring God’s promise, keep declaring your faith.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit, I stay aware of Your person in me. I commit to fellowship and grow my knowledge and interaction with you daily. Amen!
