A merry heart is one of the forces that unlocks the life of God in a man’s life and when the life of God is manifesting in you, it will reflect the glory, the favour and the beauty of God upon you. If you always go with your spirit, filled with the life of God, you will move in step with God and the life of God will dominate whatever situation or circumstance you find yourself.

To break the band of barrenness, you have to release joy. Barrenness has a tendency to make you sad and to weigh you down. Every time that God wants to break barrenness in the lives of people, He requires them to worship and to rejoice.  That's why the Bible says, “Sing, O barren and thou that didst not bear. Break forth into singing …” That is not a normal thing to say to someone who is barren whether physically or spiritually or financially. That word, “break forth” means there are resistances to singing for the barren. There are situations that people find difficult to sing in. When you begin to mourn, the spirit of heaviness comes upon you but when you begin to praise God, God exchanges that spirit of heaviness with the garment of praise.

The blessings God has reserved for you in the realm of the unknown will be brought out by you releasing the joy of the LORD and the power of God. He says, “For more are the children of the desolate”. Now this person is desolate, barren yet, the Bible says, “More are the children of the desolate than the one that is married.” Yet, how will she know? You can compare that with the story of Peninnah and Hannah. Who could have guessed that Hannah had more waiting for her in the place of joy than Peninnah had? Peninnah’s joy was natural: but God required that Hannah should stop weeping so that she can release joy and bring forth what was available for her. The children of Peninnah can’t be compared with just one Samuel. You may be suffering, the devil may think he has gotten you, but he can’t stop you, if you can release your joy. If the devil cannot steal your joy, he cannot keep you down. Release that joy, learn to lift up your hand, worship Him, and glorify Him. It brings the life of God out to dominate whatever is happening around you.

Prayer: Father, I receive grace to release Joy and worship you habitually regardless of what I’m going through in Jesus’ name. Amen. Take one hour to worship God personally today.
