Don’t stop being a Christian. Pomp and popularity are not signs that a leader is still in tune with God. Keep checking yourself as you move on because it is part of the process. The process is more important to God than the place because it is the process that makes the man that occupies the place. God always enlists you in a process that makes you the kind of person that He wants you to become. The bigger question is whether the church you are attending has any kingdom process in place to prepare you for your destiny.
Several years ago, the Lord spoke to my heart during a Sunday Service and He said, “Learn how to worship now.” Sometimes, you find church leaders that don’t know how to worship or lead their people into worship. I’ve gone to preach in churches where leaders were excused from the activities that the brethren do, and that is never right. You are a Christian before you are a minister. When you stand in the office of a minister, you are serving the people of God but you need to be a Christian to keep on walking with God. I have to walk with God just like my church members have to walk with God.
God never acts impetuously like many people think. If and only if you take all the lessons God sends to you in the school of the Spirit, you will be the right man for the position. When you get to the platform of success, the devil won’t be able to ensnare you because God has prepared and cultured you through that divine process.
PRAYER: Lord, I submit to the kingdom process and the true walk of a Christian. Let my relationship with you be preserved, no matter my position in Jesus’ name. Amen!
