The first law in hell is “do as you will”, but in heaven it is “do as God wills”. In God’s kingdom, there is orderliness and law. You are not free until you are righteously bound somewhere. Let the laws of God be your limit. That is true worship. Joseph was a true worshipper in Potiphar’s house. When Potiphar’s wife pursued him, he said, “How can I do this wicked thing and sin against God?” God’s law bounded him and he could not do such thing. Even though nobody was going to see the act, he feared God and resisted the temptation of sleeping with an older, fair and rich boss. He was not even in Israel- something you can liken to your father’s house or company of believers.

God has laws and when you live your life limiting yourself based on those laws, it is not a sign of stupidity but a recognition of the One that put the law in place. You live your life to submit to Him and God rates you as a true worshipper. It is to such people that God said “...before they call, I will answer.” It is such people, who when they call and lift their hands to worship, that God hears and pays attention to.

If you will become a true worshipper, you must not obey laws because of getting demoted from a leadership post - that will mean defending your honour. True worship means you allow yourself to be bound by the laws of God. It means you limit yourself within the confines of God’s laws.

PRAYER: Lord, I pray for a heart of flesh that fears and reveres you deeply in Jesus’ name. Amen!
