When you get to the church that God has chosen for you, the first thing to find out is who the leader is and follow him. Church members almost always have problems because they are trying to follow other sheep in the fold instead of the Pastor that God set up as His representative. If you ever follow a sheep, it must be a sheep that is fully following the shepherd of the assembly. If you follow an errant church member, you will go astray.
If your church has different branches, so that the set man has placed branch Pastors over the other branches, you are to follow your branch pastor as he is following the set man. If you follow a Pastor that is not following the set man, he will lead you astray. Therefore, the person you are to follow per time must always be clear to you. Don't make wrong decisions in your followership. Don't let the devil use you to oppose the church of God. If an Associate Pastor leaves the set man, you are not to follow that Associate Pastor because everyone that follows such an associate pastor is an enemy of God's work.
When you get to the local church that God has called you to be a member of, don't look around; look at the altar! This is important because you don't know the reason why the other person is in church. You may not even know whether he/she is a pain to the Pastor. Your safety and contribution is in following the Pastor that God put in front of you.
PRAYER: Lord, teach and guide me in how to follow your servant into the purpose and plan that you have for my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
