There are moments in a believer’s walk with God when He makes a special demand. These moments are not ordinary. They are divine invitations to participate in something that heaven considers important. When God makes such a demand, it may not always be convenient or comfortable. Sometimes it requires sacrifice, generosity, or stepping beyond what we planned for ourselves. Yet these are often the moments that move the hand of God most powerfully. Many people desire divine intervention in their lives, but they fail to recognise that God sometimes connects extraordinary intervention with extraordinary obedience. Whenever God places a demand on a believer’s heart, it is often because something significant is about to unfold.<\/p>\n
Scripture reveals that God honours those who respond faithfully to such moments. Jesus said, “If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour” (John 12:26). This statement shows that God pays attention to the actions of those who serve Him sincerely. When believers respond to divine promptings with commitment rather than hesitation, they demonstrate that their relationship with God is real. These acts may involve helping someone in need, supporting the work of God, or responding to a burden placed upon the heart. The act itself may appear small, but the obedience behind it carries spiritual significance before God.<\/p>\n
Believers must therefore learn to take divine promptings seriously. The moment when God places a responsibility before you may not come with dramatic announcements or visible signs. It may simply be an inner conviction that you should act in a particular way. If you respond faithfully that act becomes part of your covenant walk with God. Scripture assures us that “God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love” (Hebrews 6:10). The acts you perform in response to His call today may become the very seeds that position you and your family for future divine intervention. Each act of obedience therefore becomes a partnership with God in His purposes.<\/p>\n
Do I recognise and respond when God places a demand on my life? What might God be asking me to do today that I have been postponing?<\/p>\n
Father, help me recognise Your promptings and respond with obedience. Give me a willing heart to serve You faithfully and to act whenever You place a demand upon my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.<\/p>\n
