Faith is one of the strongest forces that draws divine intervention into a situation. The Bible clearly declares, “Without faith it is impossible to please him” (Hebrews 11:6). Faith is not the same as presumption or recklessness, but it is a confident reliance on God’s ability even when circumstances appear uncertain. Many believers say they believe God, yet their actions often reveal dependence on natural systems alone. True faith expresses itself through decisions and actions that show confidence in God’s power. When God sees such faith, His hand is often moved to act on behalf of His people.

Faith is usually tested at crucial moments when natural options appear limited. At such moments, a believer must decide whether to respond according to fear or according to faith. The Bible records the story of Jairus, whose daughter was seriously ill. While Jesus was on the way to heal her, a messenger arrived with the news that the girl had died. At that moment Jesus told Jairus, “Be not afraid, only believe” (Mark 5:36). Jairus chose to continue believing even after receiving discouraging news. His decision to maintain faith in that moment moved the hand of God, and Jesus raised the girl from the dead. This story reminds us that faith often requires perseverance. Sometimes circumstances may suggest that the situation is hopeless, but faith refuses to surrender because it trusts the power of God above human limitations.

Faith is developed through practice. It is dangerous to reach a major crisis in life without having cultivated faith beforehand. Believers must learn to trust God in small matters so that their confidence in Him grows over time. When a believer consistently exercises faith, he develops a spiritual resilience that helps him stand firm during difficult situations. God delights in responding to faith because faith honours His character and acknowledges His ability to do what humans cannot do. Acts that reveal genuine faith therefore become powerful triggers that move the hand of God. When believers demonstrate unwavering confidence in God’s ability, they position themselves to experience His intervention in ways that exceed human expectation.

THOUGHT TO PONDER

Do my actions reveal genuine faith in God, or do I rely mostly on natural solutions? What small step of faith can I take today to strengthen my confidence in God?

PRAYER

Father, strengthen my faith in Your power and ability. Help me trust You beyond what my eyes can see so that my life continually reflects confidence in You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

Joshua 22:21-23:16, Luke 20:27-47, Psalm 89:14-37, Proverbs 13:17-19

[1
476
post-8155","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-devotional
["GET
