S<\/span>oul winning is not only zeal. Some believers have fire, but they pour it like petrol on dry leaves and then wonder why people run. Jesus said, \u201cBe ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves Matthew 10:16 KJV.\u201d If you lack wisdom, you will block your own harvest. Don\u2019t start your discussion with insults and call it boldness. Don\u2019t approach a man like you are arresting a criminal. You are trying to gain access to a heart, not win a quarrel. The gospel is sharp enough; your attitude must not add unnecessary offence. A soul is too precious for careless approach; don\u2019t lose the man more to the devil because you lacked sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wisdom shows up in preparation and in approach. Peter said you must be \u201cready always to give an answer (1 Peter 3:15 KJV),\u201d not sweating, not stammering, and not speaking like you are showing off Bible grammar. Have the right opening, don\u2019t be insulting. You can start your discussion from the known things and connect it to the message in your heart: an issue they raised, a news item, a family matter, the uncertainty of life, a question about purpose. Ask simple questions; let the person talk, then bring the light of Christ gently but clearly. And don\u2019t limit witnessing to evangelism days. Let the Holy Spirit use you anytime, any day, anywhere. Sometimes the Holy Spirit gives you a window of two minutes in a taxi or on a phone call; if you miss it, you may not get it again soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So practise the simple techniques that keep doors open.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Always carry tracts in your bag or pocket and be ready to dish them out when opportunity arises; the seed you drop today may become a harvest tomorrow. If you don\u2019t know how to start, use care: help, kindness, a listening ear: then point to Jesus, not to yourself. Be sensitive: some people need compassion first, some need truth first, but everybody needs Christ. When the heart opens, don\u2019t just chat: present the gospel, press for decision, and arrange follow-up quickly. Wisdom keeps the door open; love keeps the person listening; the Word brings the miracle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THOUGHT TO PONDER:<\/strong> Do I open doors for the gospel with wisdom, or do I shut hearts with my approach? What \u201cright opening\u201d can I use today to connect a conversation to Christ without offence?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
