T<\/span>here is a way to “witness” that leaves everybody comfortable and leaves the sinner still lost. A watchman does not only shout “danger”; he also shows the way of escape. If you truly love a soul, don’t stop at information: press for decision. The gospel is not an essay; it is a call to repentance. And when the Holy Spirit creates an opening, you must not postpone it till next week or defer it till “when I have time.” The Scripture says, “now is the accepted time\u2026 now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV).” If you delay the moment of conviction, you may be handing the devil time to cool the heart again. Close the matter while the heart is open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading a soul to Christ is a great task that must be properly handled so you don’t lose the soul more to the devil by careless approach. First, be led by the Holy Spirit: follow your heart; He will tell you where to begin and where to go, and He can show you the sensitive entry point that makes the person listen. Second, show love: don\u2019t be judgemental; kindness and genuine concern soften the ground. Then show him his state: man is a sinner by nature, and sin has a consequence beyond this world. After that, preach the gospel: what Jesus did: His sufferings, His death, His burial, His resurrection: was for him. Don’t start preaching “dos and don’ts.” Don’t tell him to stop smoking first; tell him to accept Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salvation is not behaviour management; it is new life.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Now be practical: after you have presented Christ, ask the obvious question: \u201cAre you ready to give your life to Jesus now?” Move him from persuasion to agreement, from agreement to conviction, and from conviction to a quality decision. If he says yes, don’t hesitate; don’t postpone it; lead him to confess Jesus as Lord and believe in his heart. Keep the prayer simple, sincere, and immediate. Then tell him what to do next: come into fellowship, learn the Word, pray daily, and begin to testify. Bring him to church so he is not lost again and follow him up until he is established. Don’t argue with jesters; avoid them like the plague. Focus on ripe harvests and corner them with the gospel: then lead them home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THOUGHT TO PONDER:<\/strong> Do I stop at explaining, or do I press for a clear “yes” to Jesus? Who will I ask today, plainly and lovingly, “Are you ready to give your life to Jesus now?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

PRI\u00c8RE:<\/strong> Father, fill me with love and holy boldness. Help me present Jesus clearly and lead souls to a definite decision today, then follow up faithfully, in Jesus’ name. Amen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\t\t
