A<\/span> building does not collapse on the day it falls; it collapses the day it was wrongly laid. Yesterday, I told you to check your foundation. Today, I will focus on the hand that lays that foundation \u2014 Lordship. If Jesus is not Lord over your choices, your emotions will be. And emotions are sugar: sweet today, sickening tomorrow. God said, \u201cI will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go\u201d (Psalm 32:8). Instruction implies authority; teaching implies process. Many want the wedding, not the yoke of Christ. They pray in tongues yet date by sight. Get this right; courtship without Lordship is cruise to shipwreck. You cannot keep Jesus at the altar and worship your desires in the bedroom of decision. \u201cTrust in the LORD\u2026 and He shall direct thy paths\u201d (Proverbs 3:5\u20136). The path you surrender is the path He directs; the path you keep is the path that keeps you in trouble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me be pastoral and blunt. Some \u201clove stories\u201d are sponsored by loneliness, not the Holy Ghost. Some marriage proposals are simply revenge; \u201cmy mates are marrying; I must show them.\u201d That is flesh, and flesh does not see tomorrow. Destiny is a mixture of spirits; what you mix into marriage will multiply. This is why many fast twenty-one days at the junction of marriage but ignore God twenty-one months before it. You do not rent the Holy Ghost for a wedding; you walk with Him daily until discernment becomes your default. Jesus, our Pattern, said, \u201cI can of mine own self do nothing\u2026 I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father\u201d (John 5:30). If the sinless Son refused self-will, who are you \u2014 dust with lipstick or beard \u2014 to enthrone your appetite? Hand over your preferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God is not threatened by your \u201cspec\u201d; He authored your future and knows the spouse that fits the scroll.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

How then do you enthrone Lordship before courtship? (1)<\/strong> Kill the hurry. Pressure is not the voice of God. Delay is not denial; it is deliverance. (2)<\/strong> Submit your list. Place it on the altar and ask God to burn what He didn\u2019t write. (3)<\/strong> Normalise obedience. If He can\u2019t lord your playlist, He won\u2019t lord your partner list. Obey completely. Avoid partial and incomplete obedience (4)<\/strong> Bring destiny to the table. Ask, \u201cWhat is the calling on my life, and who can run this lane without dragging me to Egypt?\u201d (5)<\/strong> Invite authority. A man no one can correct is unsafe. A man or lady no one can pastor is a moving storm. (6)<\/strong> Guard the bed. Premarital sex fogs discernment and makes you dull in the spirit. I decree over you: your steps are ordered; your ears will hear from God; you will not marry by pain, pride, or pity, but by destiny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THOUGHT TO PONDER:<\/strong> Have I surrendered my preferences to the Lord, or am I asking God to endorse my desire? Who can God use to stop me if I am speeding toward a wrong choice?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

PRI\u00c8RE:<\/strong> Lord Jesus, take the wheel of my choices; silence, flesh, and guide me into Your perfect will for my destiny and marriage.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\t\t
