W<\/span>ell-trained parents ask, \u201cWhat do you say?\u201d when a child receives a gift. That simple prompt mirrors Heaven\u2019s expectation. Jesus asked, \u201cWere there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?\u201d (Luke 17:17, KJV). Your Father notices when you return. As you mature, your \u201cthank you\u201d must become more deliberate \u2014 no longer a casual courtesy, but a discerning response that recognises grace, values the giver, and strengthens relationship. I want you to learn to say a proper \u201cthank you\u201d to God first, and then to men. Some are in avoidable trouble today because they were never taught, or they forgot, the power of thanksgiving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A proper \u201cthank you\u201d is not flattery; it is honour. There is a shallow thank you that gets you into trouble \u2014 careless, entitled, or late \u2014 and there is a proper thank you that opens greater doors because it carries truth, humility, and timing. \u201cOffer unto God thanksgiving\u201d (Ps. 50:14, KJV) is a command, not a suggestion. Teach your household that nothing is a right; every good and perfect gift is mercy. Insist gently that children verbalise gratitude; correct lightly when entitlement shows; model lavish appreciation yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The person who thanks well tends to receive well, not because men are bribed, but because honour lubricates relationships God uses to lift you.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Practically, calibrate your thanksgiving. Be prompt \u2014 return quickly while the mercy is fresh. Be precise \u2014 name what God did and who He used. Be proportionate \u2014 match the weight of the act with the weight of the response: a message where a message suffices; a visit where presence is required; a gift where honour demands it. Keep a running gratitude list and convert it into testimonies and memorial seeds. When God answers a vow, pay it with joy. When He rescues you from danger, honour Him publicly. A proper \u201cthank you\u201d is a spiritual key; it marks you as trustworthy with future favours and keeps your heart tender before God and men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THOUGHT TO PONDER:<\/strong> Where has my \u201cthank you\u201d been careless, late, or entitled \u2014 and how will I correct it today? Which door in front of me might open faster if I return promptly with proper thanks?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

PRI\u00c8RE:<\/strong> Lord, make my gratitude prompt, precise, and proportionate. Teach me to honour You and people rightly so greater doors can open without hindrance, in Jesus\u2019 name. Amen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\t\t
