T<\/span>oday, we begin to examine what makes faith living and accurate. The Bible doesn\u2019t just speak of one kind of faith\u2014it highlights various expressions: God\u2019s kind of faith, the devil\u2019s kind, Thomas\u2019 kind, and more. If we are going to walk accurately as Christians, then we must understand what kind of faith we are meant to operate in. The devil seeks to redefine faith in your mind by tying it to your feelings or physical evidence. You\u2019ll hear suggestions like, \u201cUntil I feel healed, I am not healed,\u201d or \u201cUntil the money hits my account, I\u2019m not blessed.\u201d But Romans 3:4 says, \u201cLet God be true, but every man a liar.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faith is not based on sight or feelings\u2014it is based on God’s Word alone.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Jesus made a strong statement in John 20:29 after Thomas said he wouldn\u2019t believe unless he saw with his own eyes. Jesus replied, \u201cBlessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.\u201d That means God reserves a special blessing for those who operate the God-kind of faith\u2014believing simply because God said so. Thomas had to see first before he believed. But Abraham, on the other hand, was called the father of faith because he acted on God\u2019s Word without needing to see anything. God called him \u201ca father of many nations\u201d when he didn\u2019t have a single child, and Abraham obeyed, even though he had no physical proof. That is faith in action\u2014believing without seeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someone once described faith like this: \u201cIt is standing on a diving board above an empty pool, but at God’s Word, you dive\u2014fully confident that He will fill the pool with water before you land.\u201d That picture captures the essence of how God wants us to live. If we wait until we see it to believe it, then we are no different from the world. Real faith\u2014living faith\u2014is not blind; it sees what God sees and trusts Him beyond what the physical senses suggest. That is the kind of faith that pleases God. Romans 12:3 tells us that God has given to every man the measure of faith. Your responsibility is to grow it, feed it with the Word, and live by it daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THOUGHT TO PONDER:<\/strong> What type of faith are you operating with\u2014God\u2019s kind, Thomas\u2019, or the world\u2019s? Are you willing to believe and act even when you cannot see?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Father, thank You for giving me the measure of faith. Help me to grow it, act on it, and please You daily with it, in Jesus\u2019 name. Amen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\t\t
