T<\/span>he words that proceed from your mouth carry the power to either build or destroy. Words spoken in anger or under negative emotions are like launching a missile that may take hours to hit its target, but when it does, it causes lasting damage. Many people forget the words they spoke in the heat of the moment, but those words continue to work in the spiritual realm. That is why the Bible compares the tongue to fire and a world of iniquity\u2014it can defile the whole body and set on fire the course of nature. This is not a poetic expression; it is a warning to guard your speech. Whether you are alone or in the midst of others, your words are never neutral\u2014they are either releasing divine power or inviting destruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some believers don\u2019t fall into the trap of negative speaking in public, but in private moments\u2014in bathrooms, on their beds, or when discouraged\u2014they begin to mutter negative declarations over their lives: \u201cI don\u2019t think anything will work for me,\u201d or \u201cI\u2019m tired of everything.\u201d Those careless moments, if not repented of, open doors to spiritual attacks. When you speak defeat, you draw defeat closer. But when you speak the Word, you release heaven\u2019s resources to enforce God\u2019s counsel in your life. A sinner may say good things, and it amounts to wishful thinking. But when a believer speaks God\u2019s Word, it sets spiritual motion into place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confession for us is not merely positive talk\u2014it is agreement with the government of heaven.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

You must learn to keep your speech aligned with your faith. The Bible says, \u201cOut of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing\u2026 these things ought not so to be.\u201d If you\u2019re going to walk in the centre of God\u2019s purpose and power, your mouth must agree with His Word. Every time you speak, you are either building your future or destroying it. So, don\u2019t choose your own words; choose God\u2019s words. Don\u2019t follow your feelings; follow your faith. Say what God is saying about your situation even if you feel differently. That\u2019s how to release faith effectively and walk in spiritual dominion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THOUGHT TO PONDER:<\/strong> Have you allowed careless moments to birth dangerous words? Are your daily confessions aligning with God\u2019s Word or your emotions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Lord, I receive the spirit of self-control. For every careless word I\u2019ve spoken in weakness or anger, I declare crop failure in Jesus\u2019 name. Amen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\t\t
