je<\/span>n the family of God, there is no hierarchy of generations\u2014there are no spiritual grandchildren, only sons. Every believer, once born again, becomes a direct son of God through Jesus Christ. We are all equal in sonship, though we differ in assignment. It is crucial to understand that your identity as a son is the foundation for your security and for your faith to function. Faith thrives when you are rooted in your relationship with the Father. Until you grasp this truth, your walk with God will lack the confidence that sonship brings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some Christians are unsure whether God hears them, not because they aren\u2019t saved, but because they haven\u2019t embraced the full weight of what it means to be a child of God.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

I remember as a young boy growing up, I was my father’s favourite. Everyone in the family knew it. My siblings would often send me to speak on their behalf when there was tension. That privilege gave me insight into what it means to have unrestricted access and favour with a father. That understanding formed the foundation of my view of God’s love. But here\u2019s the powerful truth: in God\u2019s family, you too can be His favourite. The Lord has enough love and capacity to make each of His children feel like the only one. Unfortunately, not every believer presses in to enjoy that kind of intimacy with God. Rather than developing their own walk, many lean on those who have cultivated intimacy with the Father. They depend on someone else\u2019s connection\u2014whether it is a pastor, prophet, or spiritual mentor\u2014to serve as a bridge between them and God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But this is not the divine design. You cannot grow spiritually by outsourcing your relationship with God. While God may use prophets or ministers to deliver a word to you, the goal is not to direct your attention to the messenger but to Him. If God gave a word to you through someone, it is because you matter to Him. He is not focused on the prophet; He is focused on you. That truth should settle in your heart and become a cornerstone for your faith. Develop your own relationship with God. Know Him personally. Speak to Him directly. Trust that He listens and responds because you are His child. This is the kind of faith that is founded on sonship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THOUGHT TO PONDER:<\/strong> Are you enjoying personal intimacy with God, or are you relying on someone else’s relationship with Him? How can you deepen your personal relationship with God today?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
