Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the king’s food (Daniel 1:8). This deliberate choice laid the foundation for his remarkable spiritual journey and ministry effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joshua likewise presented the Israelites with a decisive challenge, declaring, \u201cChoose you this day whom ye will serve\u2026but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD\u201d (Joshua 24:15). Discipline always starts with a firm decision\u2014a commitment to choose God’s way above convenience or popular opinion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I often tell people that every moment offers a choice to either align with God\u2019s principles or conform to worldly standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You cannot develop spiritual discipline without deliberately choosing to pursue it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It requires daily decisions to prioritise prayer, study the Scriptures, and consistently obey God, even when it is difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflect today on the decisions you have been making. Are you consciously choosing a disciplined spiritual lifestyle, or have you allowed circumstances and convenience to dictate your choices? Remember, discipline begins with a choice\u2014decide today to walk intentionally in the paths that honour God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
