T<\/span>he presence of God is a place of protection and refuge. Psalm 91:4 assures us, \u201cHe shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.\u201d Like a mother bird shielding her young, God\u2019s presence is a shelter where we find safety, comfort, and strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Matthew 23:37, Jesus lamented over Jerusalem, saying, \u201cHow often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!\u201d This tender image reveals God\u2019s longing to draw His people into His protective embrace, shielding them from harm and guiding them through life\u2019s challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shelter of His wings is not just a place of safety but also a place of intimacy.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It is where we can lay down our burdens, rest in His care, and draw strength for the journey ahead. His truth becomes our shield, guarding us against the lies of the enemy and the uncertainties of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God invites us to dwell in this shelter, but it requires trust and surrender. Just as a chick runs under its mother\u2019s wings instinctively, we are called to run to God, trusting Him to be our refuge and fortress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THOUGHT TO PONDER:<\/strong> Are you trusting God to be your shelter, or are you trying to handle life\u2019s challenges on your own? What steps can you take today to rest in the protection of His wings?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for being my refuge and shield. Teach me to trust You fully and to rest in the safety of Your presence. Let me find strength and comfort under Your wings as I walk through life. In Jesus\u2019 name, Amen.
