F<\/span>orgiveness is a powerful act that liberates both the offender and the offended. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus teaches, “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forgiveness is not optional; it is a command that reflects the heart of God.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Joseph\u2019s story is a profound example of forgiveness. Betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and wrongfully imprisoned, Joseph had every reason to hold a grudge. Yet, when he finally stood before his brothers, he chose forgiveness over vengeance. His words in Genesis 50:20 reveal his perspective: “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forgiveness does not minimize the hurt or justify the wrongdoing; it releases the burden of bitterness and allows God\u2019s healing to flow. Ephesians 4:32 encourages us to “be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ\u2019s sake hath forgiven you.” As you forgive, you reflect the character of Christ and open the door for restoration and peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are struggling to forgive, take it to God in prayer. Ask Him to soften your heart and give you the grace to release the offence. Remember, forgiveness is not a feeling but a decision to obey God. Choose forgiveness today and experience the freedom it brings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
