A<\/span>s we conclude this teaching; the key theme has been “joining.” When we come to church, we are not merely entering a building; we are joining ourselves to the Lord. This message is clearly articulated in Ephesians chapter 4, where each of us receives grace according to the measure of Christ’s gift. We grow through the contributions of every joint.<\/p>\n

I recall a time in church when a friend of mine, who was ministering, called all the pastors present to join him in prayer. I stepped in and cautioned him, as I was uncertain about the spiritual flows present in those pastors. Only the guest ministers and I participated in the ministry that day.<\/p>\n

Afterward, he expressed appreciation for my discernment. I explained that my hesitation stemmed from a desire to prevent having to cast out strange spirits from my congregation later. I had no idea what flows those men carried, and if they laid hands on my people, they might transfer those flows onto them. I refuse to let someone whose life is marked by adultery lay hands on a member who has never looked at another woman, only to cause them to stumble into infidelity.<\/p>\n

As born-again believers, we are joined to the Lord.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When we connect to a ministry and an anointing that God has ordained, we enter a covenant, becoming partakers of something positive\u2014specifically, the blessings of Abraham. This joining brings us into alignment with God’s divine purpose for our lives.<\/p>\n

PRAYER: Lord, let the callings I am joined to in the kingdom of God begin to work in my life in Jesus’ name, Amen.
