T<\/span>oday, many people join churches without understanding the significance of that commitment. In the days of the apostles, there was a profound respect for the community of believers. Individuals did not simply associate themselves with the church; they recognized the serious consequences, as seen with Ananias and Sapphira, who attempted to deceive the Holy Spirit. Their actions served as a sobering reminder of the importance of purity within the church, otherwise, the early church would not have survived.<\/p>\n

God has maintained the integrity of the church because that is the foundation. When someone joined himself to Philip the evangelist, the apostles promptly addressed the negative influence he brought with him (Acts 8:5-24). They prioritized keeping the move of God pure. Similarly, when Nehemiah was rebuilding the temple, he rejected the offers of those who sought to join him, stating, \u201cYou have no part in this place.\u201d<\/p>\n

God gives us fathers who can safeguard their families from harmful influences and declare, \u201cWhat destroyed our ancestors will not affect the next generation.\u201d Are you that man? Are you strong enough to stand firm? The apostles were discerning about who could join them, ensuring only those aligned with their mission were welcomed.<\/p>\n

What legacy will flow through your family?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Will your children be stronger or weaker because of your decisions? The responsibility to remove the reproach of previous generations lies squarely with you.<\/p>\n
