T<\/span>he marriage union functions effectively only when both the man and the woman understand their roles and operate accordingly. There can be no proper joining in marriage if the husband is not fulfilling his role as the head or if the wife is not submitting as she should.<\/p>\n

Submission is what brings a woman into union with her husband. In fact, I have even told some women that if they are unwilling to submit to their husbands, they should reconsider having children, as this can create complications. The Bible clearly states this in 1 Timothy 2:15. Every society must find a way for a woman to biblically submit to her husband before true joining can occur.<\/p>\n

For the man, his joining with his wife begins when he leaves his father and mother. As a man, you must ask yourself: Are you a head that your wife can be joined to? God always starts with the head, not the legs. He began creation by forming Adam first, and then Eve was joined to him, followed by their children. If the head does not know its identity, nothing joined to it will find its direction. I have never seen a man who is under the control of his parents\u2014whether his father or mother\u2014succeed in marriage.<\/p>\n

For true unity in a family, there must be a shared vision to which everyone submits.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Every family member must bring their gifts, abilities, and skills in support of this vision to propel it forward. It is important to assess whether you are truly joined together in marriage or simply living together as a couple.<\/p>\n
