Marriage is a sacred institution that many are eager to enter, yet few take the necessary time to fully grasp its foundations for effective preparation. Though this month\u2019s devotional is aimed at married couples, it is equally important for singles to reflect on, so that they can gain the wisdom needed before entering marriage. It is always wiser to prepare before an event rather than after.<\/p>\n

Marriage is a profound and spiritual union, established by God with a purpose far greater than many realize.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When God sees a couple, He sees them as one\u2014just as He sees the Church and the Body of Christ as one. This is a powerful mystery that many couples miss, which is why they don\u2019t always experience the fullness of what God has for their marriage. There is a multiplied power in this union, and it is important to recognize that marriage is not just two individuals living together, but a single, united entity.<\/p>\n

In God\u2019s design, one plus one equals one in marriage. He desires not only for us to grow individually, but for our marriages to grow in alignment with Christ. This growth is not random but is meant to draw us closer to the anointed One, who is the Head.<\/p>\n
