G<\/span>od is going to walk with the man whose ways please the Lord. There is a difference between your way and your act, just like there is a difference between the ways of the Lord and the acts of the Lord. When the bible talks of the ways of a man, he talks about the reasons of a man, the motives of a man, what drives you, what pushes you, why you do what you do. A lot of times we can see good things being done in the wrong way.<\/p>\n

When John said to the master,” Let us call fire down on this people” and the Lord said, “You don’t know which spirit you are of.” That means what John wanted to do might have been laudable, but it wouldn’t have been done in the spirit of Jesus.<\/p>\n

The Lord is more concerned with the spirit with which you are doing things for Him, not just what you are doing.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In Matt. 7:22-23 the Lord said, \u201cMany will say to me on that day, we have cast out devils in your name, we have done many mighty works in your name,\u201d and God will say to them, depart from me ye workers’ of iniquity; I never knew you!\u201d The word for “knew” there is the word I never approved of you, so it means that they have been doing things that He didn’t approve of, and they didn’t bother to find out whether He approved of what they were doing. You could do things that impress men, and they think it is wonderful, and it may not be in God’s motives and for His own reasons.<\/p>\n
