E<\/span>phesians 1:17-21 is a beloved prayer to me because of what I read in one of Kenneth Hagin\u2019s books where the Holy Spirit led him to pray that prayer daily for about six months. Alone, on his knees in church, he daily opened this chapter, read it verse by verse, and prayed for himself. After six months, a gusher broke loose in the Spirit. It is a good prayer to pray for yourself and for pastors to pray for themselves. Those are the prayers a leader prays for the members of the Church.<\/p>\n

Ephesians 3:14-16 and Philippians 1:3- 5 are examples of scriptures that should form the basis of our prayer for people, and this prayer will generate other things they need in their lives.<\/p>\n

If God calls you a pastor or you are an evangelist or a teacher, as much as you attend to the ministry of the Word, one critical aspect of your calling is intercession for the saints. The evangelist is to intercede over souls and pastors are to intercede over the flock, praying Holy Spirit-inspired prayers over the people.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We have very good examples in all the Pauline prayers for the Church.<\/p>\n

At times, you wonder if Paul does any other thing. He said He spoke in tongues more than all the apostles put together. He reached more regions with the preaching of the gospel than any other person. Colossians 1:3 showed that he prayed for all the churches more than any other person. Intercession is a critical aspect of our lives.<\/p>\n

PRAYER<\/strong>: Lord Jesus, I thank You for my local church and my brethren. Holy Ghost, take hold with me now as I pray for my church and brethren according to Ephesians 1:17-21 in Jesus\u2019 name. Amen!
