N<\/span>hen Paul was in a near-shipwreck, he said \u201call hope that we should be saved was then taken away\u201d, but he did not sleep in the night. He knew that he could not do anything anymore about the matter but there was a God that could do something. He began to pray and said, \u201c\u2026 there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee (Act. 27:23-24).\u201d<\/p>\n

It is only people that do not cry to God for help in their time of need that do not find mercy.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Saul, the first king of Israel, was in rebellion and did not cry to God (1 Sam. 15:22-25). If he had gone on his face in the temple before God, refused to eat and said, \u201cGod I am sorry\u201d, God would have responded. I am always excited when I am set to pray personally and when we come together as a people because I know it is another time for divine intervention.<\/p>\n

When three nations came against Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20, the battle was overwhelming and all hope that they would be saved was lost. However, Jehoshaphat summoned all Judah? Everybody, male and female, old and young. They stood before the Lord and cried unto Him. God took over their battles and said, \u201cthe battle is not yours, but God\u2019s (2 Chr. 20:15c)\u201d. They didn\u2019t have to lift a sword but watched God turned the enemy one against the other until they were defeated.<\/p>\n

PRAYER<\/strong>: Lord, I know Your ears are open to the cry of the righteous. I will call on You in distress and I am confident that you will show up for me, in Jesus\u2019 name. Amen!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\t\t
