W<\/span>e will continue today to see more of the wrong teachings about baptism in the Holy Ghost.<\/p>\n

2. Another wrong teaching is that speaking in tongues is not the evidence of being FILLED but fruits. We must not confuse Ephesians 5:18 with Acts 2:4 or any other scriptures that deal with speaking in tongues. Ephesians 5:18 was written to people who had first experienced Baptism in the Holy Ghost. Please see Acts 19:1-6. Those were Ephesians’ disciples.<\/p>\n

The word \u201cFILLED\u201d as used in Ephesians 5:18 carries the idea of being controlled by something. I concede that tongues do not mean that one is fully yielded to the Holy Spirit\u2019s control. To quote the examples of the inconsistencies of the lives of some few tongue talkers is quite malicious. What of all those very spiritual people who speak in tongues? Remember the Corinthian Church were no super-saints, yet God saw fit to give them the Holy Spirit with the biblical evidence of speaking in tongues.<\/p>\n

3. Another such teaching is that you have to be super holy before you can be baptised in the Holy Spirit. This is not so. A study of the Corinthian Church brethren will tell you the opposite.<\/p>\n

\n

All the qualification you need to be baptised in the Holy Ghost is to be born again and exercise faith in God.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

4. Finally, some say you don\u2019t have to speak in tongues all the time. Sure, you don\u2019t have to, but did you read anywhere that you will be sinning if you speak in tongues all the time? If you want to reserve your tongues for special prayer meetings, go right ahead and do so; at least you have the Bible evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n
