W<\/span>rong teaching is the major problem of many believers. Once your knowledge of a subject is faulty, you can never enjoy the attending blessings fully. It does not matter how seriously or sincerely a doctrine is taught and believed, nor does it matter how many people believe it, if it is not the truth, it will always remain a lie. Believing a lie sincerely will not change it into the truth. Only the truth that is known in its accurate form can set anyone free. A faulty knowledge of the truth is as dangerous and even more dangerous than the lack of the knowledge of the truth.<\/p>\n

\n

Let me share some of the wrong teachings on baptism in the Holy Spirit with you. When I say wrong teaching, I mean teaching that does not totally tally with what the Bible says and means.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

1. When you are born again, you are simultaneously baptised with the Holy Spirit. This teaching simply assumes that the baptism with the Holy Ghost is not a separate and distinct experience from the new birth. This has no basis in the scriptures.<\/p>\n

In John 4:13\u201315 and John 7:37-39, the Lord used two PICTURES to explain two DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES of the Holy Spirit in a believer\u2019s life. The \u201cWELL\u201d stands for the salvation experience and the joy that comes from knowing that your sins are erased and forgiven. The \u201cRIVERS\u201d stand for the fullness of the Holy Spirit that occurs when you are baptised with or in the Spirit. These two experiences are quite separate and distinct from one another.<\/p>\n
