W<\/span>hen Joshua took over leadership from Moses, he did not inherit the rod of Moses. Copying ministry leads to error. Each man must get his strategy from God. Moses used the rod but Joshua didn\u2019t use the rod. Joshua didn\u2019t inherit the rod of Moses but got his strategy from God. For every battle, Joshua got a divine strategy. <\/p>\n

There is a divine strategy for every assignment that God has and we must labour to get the divine strategies particular to our assignment in order to fulfil God\u2019s purpose. Moses could have become the next Pharaoh. He could have thought that he would issue a decree to release the children of Israel as Pharaoh and they would be free, but he would not go with them. The plan of God was for him to lead them out of Egypt, go with them and enter the Promised Land. Moses had to wait for the strategy of God to do this, but it took him 40 years to learn it.<\/p>\n

\n

We don\u2019t need to spend 40 years to learn how to walk in the way of God; we can just learn it immediately, not the hard way, but easily. Just say prayerfully now, \u201cI\u2019m a sheep, Father, I want You to teach me Your ways\u201d and He will teach you His ways. Moses needed the strategy of God to fulfil the purpose of God.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When Joshua became the leader, he also needed the strategy of God. He didn\u2019t inherit the rod of Moses but inherited the God of Moses. There\u2019s a great difference between the rod of Moses and the God of Moses. There is nothing wrong with following men, but we must receive their relationship with God, not their methods.<\/p>\n
