J<\/span>ohn 1:29
‘The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.’<\/em><\/p>\n

Who is Jesus to you? If you look in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the revelation of Jesus that you see there is as the Saviour. If you break it down:
– In the book of Matthew, He came as the Messiah of the Jews; the One that came to fulfil all the Old Testament prophets\u2019 prophecies;
– In the book of Mark, He came as the sovereign Servant;
– In the book of Luke, He is seen as the great Physician; and
– In the book of John, we see Him as the Son of God. <\/p>\n

When Jesus was on the earth, He fulfilled the ministry of the Son of man before He went to the cross.<\/p>\n

He showed us how the first Adam lived before he fell. He exercised dominion: when He couldn’t find figs on a tree, He cursed it; He broke bread and multiplied it; He also walked on water. Jesus came to show us how man was to live if he had not fallen and how we are to live after we are redeemed. We ought not to have anything that defeats us because there was nothing that defeated Jesus during His earthly walk.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On the cross of Calvary, we saw Him taking on the mantle and the ministry of a Saviour, the sacrificial Lamb of God. When John saw Him, he said, \u201c\u2026Behold the lamb of God\u2026\u201d (Joh. 1:29). That was the Lamb that Abraham spoke of, \u201c\u2026God will provide himself a lamb\u2026\u201d (Gen. 22:8), and which replaced Isaac. Jesus is our substitute. He died in our place so we can live for Him. He needs us to stay alive. You and God won\u2019t gain anything by dying for Jesus, so, you must live for Him. When Jesus rose from the dead, He went to heaven and continued in the ministry of intercession and as High Priest over the Church, helping us to walk in the fellowship of the salvation that He has brought us into.<\/p>\n
