One of the easiest ways to understand the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to have the right concept of Him. One of these ways is to picture Him as a body of water because the Bible uses water to describe the Holy Ghost, and if you have ever gone into the water before, you will discover that the less the water, the easier it is for you to control it.
The more you go into the deeper dimensions of the water, the more you lose control.
When you get to that place, it is then that you discover there is a realm in the spirit where you cannot finish praying, that you can only stop praying. When a man gets to a period of life that he fails to spend time praying in the spirit for a large extent of time, it becomes difficult for him to be guided by the Holy Spirit or to even be communicated to by the Spirit of God. Such a man begins to take decisions on his own as if he is the lord of his life – moving from one trial and error to another.
Occasionally, he could get it right, but many times, he would miss it, till his life becomes a cycle of frustration. Often, he would console himself with empty motivational books that say, “Success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration’. A life of 99% perspiration is a life that is suffering from the absence of the accuracy that having the Holy Spirit brings into a life.
PRAYER: Come and take control of my life Holy Spirit, lead the way and I will follow, I step aside from the driver s seat and take a position as a passenger in Jesus name. Amen.
