As we gradually round off the year, I will be sharing with you one of the greatest keys God gave me when I started out in ministry and it is still my most valuable lesson. I will be giving you sundry points about Understanding the Person of the Holy Spirit this month.
At the beginning of my ministry, God gave me two instructions: To learn how to walk by faith and to learn how to be led by the Holy Spirit. These were my pursuits as I moved on in life and ministry. After 35 years in ministry, I have seen the differences between a life run on human reasoning and a life instructed by the Holy Spirit.
When Jesus was returning to heaven, He told the disciples to wait in the Upper Room for the release of the Holy Spirit who will be their guide and leader for their assignment. This instruction was not only to them but to every believer that will ever be. Jesus has not left us all on our own but has come to us in the person of the Holy Ghost.
Effectiveness and accuracy in life and destiny come only by walking with the Holy Spirit, the one that reveals the deep things of God.
We are not to run our destiny race relying on our strong physical bodies or the prowess of our minds. The Holy Spirit has been given to us as the Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, and Standby. Become aware of His presence and positively engage Him in your life. All you need to do is listen to and obey Him. Join me as I share truths about Him this month.
PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the Holy Spirit. I commit to a fresh and renewed relationship with Him, and welcome His reality in my life afresh, in Jesus name. Amen.
