Lying spirits will put you under the power of wrong spirits. There is a prophetic protocol by which God communicates with you, so be careful and beware of strange prophecies that don’t follow scriptural protocols. God generally will not speak to you through a person out of the blues, He will speak to you in the context of the known and provable in your life. God can speak to prophets about things that they don t know but they are prophecies for prayer, and not to manipulate people.
Once you obey a wrong prophecy, you will end up in a wrong destination.
God will speak to you through sources that you can vouch for and not unknown sources, especially when it is something sensitive and weighty. God won t give you a life-changing prophecy from an unknown source. The Bible asks us to judge all prophecies (i.e. what is being said). Be careful of prophecies that fan your ego.
Familiar spirits want to exploit your carelessness or absence in the spirit. It is lack of the knowledge of the word of God that makes people fall for foolish prophetic utterances. You are accountable to God for what you obey in the spirit. Sharpen your own spiritual sensitivity. You must be sound in the word and in prayer if you won t fall prey to false and lying spirits.
PRAYER: Lord, I take authority against the operations of familiar spirits. I pray for a pure and unpolluted flow in my spirit man and the grace to identify the voice that mimics the voice of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name. Amen.
