Faith is not an idea; it is a spirit and a force. Faith is what connects us to the power of God. Changes will be evident everywhere power is. Positive power produces positive changes, while negative power produces negative changes. However, power can exist without you having the means to connect to it. Electric energy powers a microphone, bulbs, air conditioning units, and so on. When the power supply is on, a fan begins to blow air, an air conditioner changes the room’s temperature, and electric iron emits heat. The same electric energy, depending on the appliance you connect it to, brings about different changes and effects. The point is that the energy is there, but it cannot do anything for you if you don’t connect to it. God has power, and everything we are looking for is available in God.
Faith is what connects us to God and it comes by hearing, not by having heard.
Therefore, before you can be confident that you have faith on any subject, you must hear the teaching at least twice. You didn’t get born again the first day you heard the Gospel but you heard it many times before the faith for salvation came to you. In the same way, you need to give your ears to the word of God on any issue until faith comes for that issue. Faith is the connector to the already existing, available, and potent power of God.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to pay the price of hearing in Jesus’ name. Amen!
