In the kingdom of God, you can give upwards towards manifested grace on three levels:
1. The man of God
2. The house of God
3. The work of God
Anytime and anywhere you find yourself giving to one of these three, it must be giving towards ‘manifested grace’. Before you give to a man of God, ask, “Is he sent?” “And how shall they preach except they be sent?” (Rom. 10:15).
An unsent preacher is a danger to you. Did he go to start a ministry in rebellion? Was he punished or disciplined somewhere but reacted against discipline and started his ministry by gathering people and labelling such gathering church? We have a lot of that happening today. Such a man will lead people into error.
Take note of this: if you give to a man who is not sent by God, you will join in the curse that is on his life.
You cannot just believe and give to a man, a house or a work because they claim to be of God. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 says, “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” Verify this work of God: is it God that is working it? This house of God: is it the house of God indeed? Before you decide to give towards it, you must satisfy that in your conscience before it really amounts to giving upwards.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit, help me to be sensitive and to connect correctly with the manifested grace you have assigned for me to sow my seeds. Amen.
