Today I want to share this truth with you – if you don’t know what to do, look at what a visible leader is doing or saying. If God has not told you what to do in a particular instance, and there are some instructions, God expects you to follow a visible godly leader. Imbibe the nature that follows the leader. When you start practising the principle of following the leader, it will deliver you from the tendency towards error. “Follow the leader” does not mean just follow any leader. When you are strong in following the leader, you will be delivered from error. The more you practice following the God-given leaders of the kingdom, the more you won’t follow the wrong leader.
If you start practising how to follow your spirit regularly, you will become proficient in automatically yielding to the direction of your spirit and following the things of the Spirit. If I don’t know what to do in any situation, I just ask myself, what does the bible say about it? Then I go with what the bible has said if I don’t have anything in my spirit. If I have something in my spirit that contradicts the Word of God, as we have learnt earlier, I always go with the Word of God.
Always drop anything that contradicts the Word of God because the leaders of the kingdom do not contradict each other.
The born-again spirit inside you, the Holy Spirit inside you, the anointing of God, prophecy, the word of God, gifts of the spirit don’t contradict one another if we hear their instructions correctly.
PRAYER: Father, I thank you for the leadership of the Holy Spirit. I ask that You help me grow in my followership of Him in Jesus’ name.
