In the final stage of this subject, I will be looking at the role of correct leadership in discovering and receiving your ministry.
Have you ever wondered why God put Paul under Ananias and not one of the known apostles? That was because Ananias was the right person that could lead him from his entry point in the body of Christ to his next bus stop. Leadership is not set up by God simply to stand in front of people; nobody will enter into his purpose outside of correct leadership.
As recorded in Luke 13:11-17, God works out the following in the lives of people.
1.Looses us from whatever ties us down, and
2.Leads us away from our problems and present circumstances to the watering of our destiny.
You are never going to flourish as a plant until you are under the showers of your purpose. And that requires correct leadership, which is the leadership sees you and knows you beyond your problem. Knowing somebody in the physical does not tell you everything about him. Samuel was going to make a mistake in the house of Jesse:
“And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, surely the Lord’s anointed is before him. But the Lord said unto Samuel, look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature: because I have refused him: for [the Lord seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. Then Jesse called Abinadad, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, neither hath the Lord chosen this. Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by, and he said, neither hath the Lord chosen this. (1 Sam 16:6-9)
Samuel would have anointed the wrong person as king. Since he anointed Saul, a tall person, the first king, he must have thought every king must be tall. Every leader must see people beyond their circumstances. Correct leadership will lead you from your problem to your purpose and when you are in your purpose, you can discover and fulfil your God-given ministry.
Prayer: Lord, I pray that you will lead me to the right leader for my life and connect me to the men you have assigned to show and teach me in the way I should go. Thank you for answered prayer in Jesus name. Amen.
