“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”(KJV)

There are two channels to stabilize your faith and experience in God. These include:

1. The God channel, and

2. The Word channel

Most Christians fail because their Christian life is built on only one. So, you find out that some people are very strong in the God channel and very weak in the Word channel or vice versa. The balanced, stable and solid Christian must be strong on both. You must know God, and then you must build a relationship with the Word of God. If you are going to succeed, you must know why God gave you the Word.

God gave us the Bible to know Him. He knows that the devil will come with all kinds of counterfeits. So, if we are going to be safe, we must start out by knowing God from His word. The people that gave us the Bible knew God personally; God revealed Himself to them. So, their faith was commended as special faith because they didn’t have anything to guide their knowledge of God. God just appeared in the midst of many gods they were serving and said, “I’m the true God.” Abraham decided to believe that. So, the Bible called him the friend of God.

There are two channels to your information in life: what men say to you and what God says to you. What men say to you is also equal to what you also can say. What is your reality in life? Is it what you see, hear, feel or what you think? Or is it what God says? Everybody deals with that question, what is real to me? What is true? What am I going to rest my conclusions in life on? That’s what you’re dealing with when you’re dealing with the subject of reality.

Prayer: Lord, I ask for a personal revelation and understanding of your word to bring me to a better knowing of you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
