Below are some of the practical keys to discovering and receiving the ministry the Lord assigns to you.
1. You must have a Revelation. Acts 9:18
Scales fell from the eyes of Saul. The devil uses all kinds of scales to block and blind people’s eyes to their ministry: scales of sin, tradition, fear, competition, and comparison. Scales can make you see what God is not showing you, it can also blind you totally. If you are going to have anything in the kingdom, it begins with revelation. What you know of God must go beyond just what somebody told you, to what you have a personal revelation about. Christianity runs on the wheels of revelation. Revelation is an unfolding or an unveiling in your heart. Revelation is progressive. You cannot enter into your ministry by tradition, only by revelation. It is your responsibility to find out your own ministry. Don’t let people label you; get your labelling from God by revelation. Don’t follow waves of doctrine (Eph. 4:14). If you stay in the water you will always flow with the Holy Ghost. You should pray for the spirit of revelation to find God’s assignment for you. (Eph. 1:17).
2. You Must Be Full of The Spirit. You need to be full of the Spirit. It takes the fullness of the Holy Ghost to accept your ministry.
Acts 6:3 says “Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business”
Why was being full of the Holy Ghost required? The fullness of the Spirit is what enables us to be flexible in the hand of the Holy Ghost. It is what guards us against being rigid about our plans or take offence when the Holy Ghost decides to move in a different direction. Most people don’t accept their ministry because they are full of traditions and other strange things. You must allow the Holy Ghost to take you over so that you see things the way the Holy Ghost sees it. The Holy Spirit brings the things of God to us; He shows us ways and steps to take in doing the things of God. Your relationship with the Holy Spirit is vital if you will walk in the fullness of what God has designed for you as a ministry and bring glory to God.
Prayer: Lord, I receive the Spirit of revelation to discover all you have marked for me to do in ministry, fill me with your Spirit so that I can know and work out your ways and intension in Jesus’ name. Amen.
