Anywhere you find yourself in life, you have a portion. Some don’t get their portion in life because of satanic assault or because of ignorance which could not make them demand for it. Your portion is something due you and not a favour, but you must also understand that it is not guaranteed that you will have it except you fight for it and demand for it. Understand that portions may come in three ways:

1.By Birth: this is the portion of inheritance of both physical and spiritual things. It is the portion of genes.

2.By Lawful Service: Your salary belongs to this category. It is your right because you earned it. It is not a gift or dash.

3.By Divine Allotment/Reservation: For every Kingdom roles and offices, there are portions allotted to those offices.

The things that belong to you in life by birth are your right and it comes to you naturally. A price must be paid to get the things that are divinely reserved for you.

Getting your portion in life may be difficult but it is not impossible. Elisha served Elijah to the point of stepping into a double portion of the anointing even though he was a servant of the prophet. The real sons of the prophet did not press into the portion itself and they later became servants of the man carrying the portion. One of the things that service does to you is to sensitize your heart to where your portion is positioned. May you never miss what will mark you out in your tomorrow and put you ahead of man, competition and the devil. Go for your portion!

Prayer: Lord, I embrace a life of service and receive sensitive heart and eyes to see where God has put my portion for life and ministry. Help me Lord not to despise what will matter in the later days and press through to my divine portion for life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
