Today, I will continue looking at developing a battle plan against the devil’s attacks. We have already established the following truths about the attacks from Satan.

1. Attacks from Satan are not authorized from God (Isaiah 54:14).

2. Defeat, for a child of God, in the attack of the devil is a self-permitted response (1 Peter 5:8).

3. Attacks from Satan can be resisted and defeated (1 Peter 5:9).

4. Attacks from the devil will never be anything beyond your ability to handle (1 Corinthians10:13).

You need to know that God supplies ability before the devil attacks. The devil is an outlaw and he will not mind his business, don’t assume that since you not disturbing the devil, he won’t disturb you. Also, don’t misconstrue 1 Corinthians 10:13 to mean, “if my ability is little, God won’t permit any major test to come my way.” Instead, when we come to church or log on to the service online, read our Bibles and devotionals, God is supplying ability before the devil ever attacks. God always moves first in your life, not the devil. God won’t allow you face a test without preparing you. He won’t keep you away from it but He will let you face it because He wants to receive the glory from your victory.

The studies in this devotional, for instance, is a divine supply of ability and if you are currently facing an attack of the devil against you, you have ability to handle it. If you are not facing any battles yet, then take these truths very seriously because God is supplying ability before the attack comes. Don’t read the Spirit Meat to add to your spiritual vocabulary, instead receive these truths as daily fortification and education for you to have an effective Christian life.

Prayer: Father, I thank you because You always come ahead of the devil in my life. I receive a sensitive and teachable spirit to absorb all You’re teaching me for my victory in Jesus’ name. Amen.
