If you study the bible carefully, you will notice that everyone that God instructs to build for Him: Moses and Solomon especially were given a divine plan to follow. And usually when the building is completed, at dedication, God will come with His glory and fill the house. Your life can be likened to a building with a divine pattern from the Lord and except you follow the plan of what your life should look like, you will ultimately build nonsense and it will not carry the approval of God.

1.God is the builder

This is corroborated by Hebrews 3:4; 11:10. In the language if the bible, the builder is not the one who sets the block, and plasters the wall and digs the ground. No, those are labourers. The builder is the one who owns the house, owns the architectural plan and design of the house, and owns the resources to build that house. Look at your life in the light of this explanation. Is God the one building your life or you are the one building it?

2.A man can build in vain

How will a man build in vain? When a man tries to build his life without God’s pattern and without God’s resources, he will build in vain. On your own, you don’t have what it takes to be what God wants you to be. It will take God! Why not go to God today for his plan and resources to build your life?

Now let me show you some of the plans that men are following in life apart from the plan of God.

1.No Plan: There are people who have no plan in life who are being led by the forces in their environment. They will disappear with time. In fact if you have no plan for your life, someone else will give you a plan to follow, whether you like it or not.

2.My Plan: Some other people follow their own plans and you know what? The plan of God is completely different from your own plan. Your plans, except they are given by the Lord cannot withstand the test of time. It cannot withstand satanic assault when it comes and most likely it will ultimately end with you.

3.Human Plan: Another man’s plan will not bring fulfillment into your life. The ultimate beneficiary will be the one who gave you that plan. It is good that as a parent you aspire for your children to get to great height in life, but please note this, do not force your own plan on them, get the plan of God for their lives and train them in line with the plan of God.

4.Satan’s Plan: This is the most dangerous plan a man can follow. More often than not, it will appear good, but it will ultimately lead you away from God. The decision of Lot to leave Abraham was a complete satanic setup. You know the end of Lot? He lost everything he took into Sodom. Don’t follow Satan’s plan, don’t let him give you alternative plan to the plan of God. God bless you.

Prayer: Father, I reject every alternative program of the enemy for my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
