THE POWER OF POSITIVE RESPONSE TO YOUR DESTINY FATHER - 2 KINGS 5:1-27

I believe that most people fail in life and destiny either because they did not discover their destiny father or respond positively to their destiny father. If you will make it in life and destiny, you must not only recognize your destiny father, you must respond to him properly. Fathers also, must recognize and respond positively to their destiny sons and daughters. The lack of this understanding is largely responsible for a lot of mediocrity and failure in the development of destinies in the body of Christ today.

A footballer may be gifted but if he doesn’t respond properly to a good coach, he will not reach his peak. There are lots of people today that believe that the coach doesn’t have anything to do with the quality of the players. This is not true because in every field, coaches affect the performance of the players. The same set of soldiers under Saul, who were running away from Goliath, became giant killers under David. It takes thorough discipleship and fathering for the maximum deployment of destinies to take place and those who refuse to be fathered will not enjoy total redemption of their gifts and callings.

Your biological father gave birth to you, the heavenly father redeemed your soul and your spirit, but your destiny father is to father and redeem your calling and giftings. He is a man or a woman that God has given wisdom through training and experience to create the controlled environment suited for your own peculiar gifting and callings to be birthed into its proper placement. The question that you must however ask is, “who is the father given me by God to father and redeem my gift and calling like Esther was given Mordecai to father her into destiny?” Elisha was given Elijah, Joshua was given Moses and Solomon was given David. Just as you can’t choose your earthly father, in the same way, you cannot choose your destiny father.

Let me ask you this question, are you properly related to your destiny father and are you adjusting to the process that he has set up for you to become the product that God wants you to become? Every major pillar that you see today supporting any structure is able to do that because when it was still a wet concrete, it endured the controlled structure of the wooden column where it was poured until it became dry and strong.

The younger brother of the prodigal son wants the freedom and privileges of a son, but he was not ready to go through the process of sonship. He had a father but he responded wrongly to his father and his process and he was wasted by the devil.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that you will help me to respond positively to my destiny father in Jesus’ name. Amen.
