This month, we will be looking at God’s plan for the success and greatness of His people. It is unfortunate that the devil has perpetuated the lie that being a born-again Christian reduces your possibilities of success and greatness. Some assume that Christians do not use their minds and therefore are not eligible for greatness in a world that extols technology and mental acuity.
On the contrary, God is fully committed to your success and greatness on all fronts. The Bible says in 3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth,” and Joshua 1:8 says “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate upon it day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Our familiarity with these two verses has not translated into a resolved conclusion that God is indeed committed to your success.
Furthermore, you need to master the laws and principles that guide the good success (Joshua 1:8) God planned for you. Once you are a born-again Christian, you are no more of the world and you are unable to do what unbelievers and occultic people do. For example, while unbelieving ladies may lure their bosses and others cast spell with charms to advance their careers, the born-again believer needs to master how God will work out her success. I have come to discover, in over thirty-five years of ministry, that God will do more than the devil can do for his own.
PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from every wrong thinking limiting my success and greatness. I embrace Your commitment to my good success in Jesus’ name.
