WHEN AND WHERE DOES A LEADER LEARN? - PROVERBS 24:30-34

If you will be a good leader, an important thing you must learn is when to learn. There are seasons in your life that are the most appropriate times for you to learn. Learn when you are down, when you are rising in life, when you are angry (The person that makes you angry controls your life.), when you fail and when it is not convenient.

You learn everywhere, so train yourself to learn everywhere. In every situation, ask yourself “What am I learning from here? What lesson am I to learn from this person, from this situation or from this event?” Read Proverbs 24:30-34
Go through life as a learner. Stop going through life as an earner; as someone who wants to take something from people. It is better to sit down with people and say “What can I learn from you?” You can learn from a stupid person when he doesn’t learn from you. Don’t let any situation pass without asking yourself for what you learnt from that situation? I once asked a brother who wanted to remarry after a bad previous marital experience what he had learnt in the former marriage that he was taking into the new one.

Most people enter certain levels of life without any learning to handle them and God doesn’t promote you until you have learnt what is needed where you are going to. God arranges learning settings for you. The greatest call on you as a child of God after being born again is to be a learner. This is because a learner is the person that is becoming something. You cannot become anything tangible if you are not learning something somewhere.

PRAYERLord, give me eyes and understanding to see and know when to learn in Jesus’ name. Amen!
