This month, we will consider the subject of Destiny. This topic is important because you have a God-given destiny but the devil has tampered with the destiny of several people and he also distorts their understanding of it.
One misconception is that destiny is a negative event supernaturally chosen for a human being that he or she cannot influence the outcome. They say, “resign to your fate” as though fate and destiny are the same. This is not true. The Bible paints an empowering picture of destiny and assures you of a positive ending from the Lord. The devil arranges counterfeit destiny for people and it is important to fight for what is yours from the Lord.
1) Does Everyone Have a Divine Destiny? Yes, but not everyone discovers it. God decides your destiny, you are responsible to discover it, pursue it and actualise it. As soon as you discover your destiny and commit to pursuing it, God backs you up and makes it possible for you to actualise it.
Even though God decides your divine destiny, there is a possibility of fulfilling an alternative destiny either in ignorance or deliberately. You may steer your life on different paths but there is the right one that you must not miss. Many people pursue different dreams and aspirations and while those things may be good and legitimate, it must not distract you from what God put you on earth to do.
PRAYER: Lord, I know You have called me before I was formed in the womb. I receive grace and accuracy to discover and pursue the reason You created me in Jesus’ name.
